Who is this visa for?
Business (short stay) visas are for people required to be in Australia for business purposes such as attending a conference or meetings, for a stay of up to 3 months. This visa does not allow work, except in very limited circumstances, i.e. where the work is urgent, very short term and highly specialised. Generally, persons seeking to engage in paid employment in Australia should apply for a Long Stay Business visa. See: Long Stay Business Visa
