Business (Short Stay) visas: how to apply
If you wish to apply for a Subclass 456 Business (Short Stay) visa, please first read about the requirements for this visa at: http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/business/456/index.htm
To make an application at our office, please provide the documents in the checklist below. Applications may be made by mail/courier, or in person with a lodgement appointment.

* Note: no fee is payable for applications from nationals of EU member countries (only)* - Your valid and signed passport. Please ensure there is one blank page available for a visa label.
- 1 passport-size photo
- Other supporting documents:
Note: All documents must be certified copies of originals (ie certified by notary public/Justice of the Peace). Any document provided in support of your application may be checked. Please note that in the absence of particular documents a decision on your application will be made based on the information provided.
- Evidence that you have adequate funds for personal support during the period of your stay in Australia (eg bank account statements, savings books)
- Evidence that there is a need for you to be in Australia for business purposes
- Evidence of employment or study leave. Self-employed applicants should provide evidence of an active business and a business registration certificate.
- Evidence that you have personal attributes and business background that are relevant to, and consistent with, the nature of your proposed business in Australia
- Applicants who were resident in the formerYugoslavia in 1991 and were born between 1930-1985 are required to complete a character declaration
