If you have been granted a visa in Australia and need visa evidencing
Some visa applications are processed in Australia. If you have been granted a visa by an office of the Department of Immigration & Citizenship (DIAC) in Australia, you may be sent a letter from that office advising you to have your visa ‘evidenced’ by getting a visa label from your nearest Australian Embassy.
If you would like to have your visa evidenced by our office, please send us your passport by registered mail or courier. If you wish to bring your passport to the Embassy in person, you will need to contact us for an appointment. See: Contact us
Make sure that you include with your passport (or bring) a copy of the letter from the DIAC office in Australia advising you about the grant of the visa.
If you choose to come to the Embassy in person, we will make every effort to evidence your visa on the same day, however in some cases this may not be possible, in which case we will advise you when your passport can be collected. You are requested to arrange your appointment as early as possible before your proposed departure for Australia.
